Insurance & Benefits

Making the most of your dental benefits.

Dental insurance can be confusing — deductibles, annual maximums, in-network vs. out-of-network, waiting periods. Our team handles the complexity so you do not have to. We verify your benefits before every appointment, file all claims on your behalf, and give you a clear, honest estimate of your out-of-pocket costs before any treatment begins.

We accept most major PPO dental insurance plans and will do everything we can to maximize the value of your coverage. For patients without insurance — or those who have exhausted their annual maximum — we offer CareCredit financing and our own in-house Smile Studio Club membership plan.

Ready to verify your benefits? Call us at (813) 586-1990 and have your insurance card handy. We will look up your coverage on the spot.

Understanding Your Benefits

In-network vs. out-of-network — what it actually means.

In-network means the dentist has a contract with your insurance company and has agreed to a set fee schedule. Your insurance pays a higher percentage, and your out-of-pocket cost is typically lower.

Out-of-network means the dentist does not have a contract with your insurer, but — if you have a PPO plan — you can still use your benefits. Your insurance will pay a percentage of the "usual and customary" rate for your area, and you pay the difference. For many patients, the out-of-pocket difference between in-network and out-of-network is smaller than expected.

HMO and DHMO plans are different — they typically require you to see only in-network providers and do not pay anything for out-of-network care. If you have an HMO plan and we are not in your network, our Smile Studio Club membership plan is often a more cost-effective option than paying full out-of-pocket rates.

Bottom line: Even if we are out-of-network with your PPO plan, you will likely still save money compared to paying full price — and you get to choose the dentist you trust.

PPO — In-Network

  • — Dentist has a fee agreement with your insurer
  • — Insurance pays the highest percentage
  • — Lowest out-of-pocket cost for you
  • — Claims filed automatically

PPO — Out-of-Network

  • — You can still use your PPO benefits
  • — Insurance pays based on "usual & customary" rates
  • — You pay the difference — often modest
  • — Full freedom to choose your dentist

HMO / DHMO

  • — Must use in-network providers only
  • — No out-of-network benefits
  • — Our Smile Studio Club is a strong alternative
  • — Call us to discuss your options

Don't let cost delay the care you need.

CareCredit is a healthcare credit card accepted at Omni Dental Studio that lets you pay for treatment over time with convenient monthly payments. Many plans offer promotional 0% APR periods — meaning you pay no interest if the balance is paid in full within the promotional window.

CareCredit is especially useful for larger treatments like dental implants, Invisalign, or smile makeovers — where the cost exceeds your annual insurance maximum. It can also be used alongside your insurance: your insurance pays its portion, and CareCredit covers your remaining balance.

Applying takes just a few minutes online or in our office. Approval is typically instant, and you can use your card the same day. Our team is happy to walk you through the process.

No Insurance? No Problem.
